However, you need to be able to replace these calories by working out, and it needs to come from somewhere. That’s where eating can come in.
Your muscles are made up of muscle tissue, which is a structural system. It’s made up of tissue that has no blood supply and therefore needs to be supplied with calories to sustain it.
That’s why, when you exercise, you will find that your metabolism is going to increase as well. When this happens, your body is constantly replenishing itself with calories.
When your muscles are built, your body does tend to get a little fat that is necessary to keep the structure intact. That’s why you can see people with really large muscles that aren’t really fat but just bulk up. This is because their muscles are well developed.
The muscle mass in question is the whole person, not just the arms and chest. If you’re looking to lose fat, and you’re trying to build muscle, you’re not going to achieve either if you’re just focusing on just the abs.
The good part is that you can work out to improve both of these things at the same time. You don’t have to do everything at once, however.
An example of this is to go in the gym, lift weights, and then go run. For those that are into bodybuilding, this can seem like a very bad idea, but it’s a great way to get a few reps in on those lifts before you go home.
That way, you’re still maintaining your health, but you’re also burning fat at the same time. Even though you won’t see a big change in your abs, you’ll still lose some fat.
