Does running build leg muscle? Is there any scientific evidence to back up the claims that this type of exercise is effective for building leg muscles? There are a number of factors that you should consider before making your decision.
Before you start an exercise program that involves running, it is best to know exactly what kind of impact you will be placing on your legs. Do you intend to do some speed running or do you plan to do some distance running?
If you plan to run for just a little distance and just a little time, then your legs will benefit from light to moderate exercise. When I was younger, I ran a lot and did all of the low-impact types of exercise that are so popular today. I did them because they were fun and they helped me to keep fit.
But now that I am older, I have a completely different perspective about how to build leg muscle. Now I realize that there is nothing fun about running and if you really want to get great results, you will need to try some of the other types of exercises that are effective for building leg muscle.
These include the types of exercises that involve a lot of moving in a short period of time – you know, the kinds of exercises that really engage your body and give you the kind of workout that really is a challenge. This is the type of exercise that really gives you a challenge and is not like running at all.
